Bluffing the Bride of Chucky

Skanky Swisher Sweet® fog, liters of Dr. Pepper®, a hill of Fritos®, spandex-clad David Lee Roth* on MTV® and poker. A slice of adolescence replicated all around the country in 1983, only in hometown Las Vegas my itch could be satisfied just down the street. A cautionary tale. *patent pending

Well written. Well delivered. I'll bet (no pun intended?) there's a lot more where this came from.

If only his NPR career would take off and shine as brightly as his pate. As usual, top notch, wry, witty with impeccable delivery.

I really enjoyed that! You have a nice reading style, perhaps a little punchy? I don't know, I really dug the writing and the delivery suited it, just trying to think of something constructive to say! Great entry.
Good luck to you!

You didn't talk about David Lee Roth at all, man!

Great writing and storytelling, though. I'd like to hear you on the radio, for certain! Good luck. :)

I would love to listen to more of Tippyfig! Strange, but he sounds just like a person who could become a good friend, his voice is so warm! Good luck in everything, Tippyfig.

This ought to be a chapter in Life 101. Hell, it could be a whole semester.

Your entry was well written and well-paced with a good arc to it. Your voice has a nice, sarcastic, convincing quality to it which makes your personality come across as funny and intelligent and thoughtful.

As a fellow native of Las Vegas, I completely relate to this short piece. It's fun and funny and leaves me wanting more from this unique and clever voice.

A witty, unique perspective. This piece came across as a prologue of sorts. I'd like to hear more of this guy's tales from the other side(s) of Sin City.
