Public Radio B-Roll for Pete Moore

Submitted by Pete Moore on April 24, 2007 - 8:11am. ::

Producer's note: I'm not sure there's much here worth editing. The voice talent, while prepared, seems utterly flappable behind the microphone. He does realize that this is a PROFESSIONAL competition, doesn't he? Anyway, he seems fragile, so your gentle feedback would be appreciated.

If this was a comedy quest, you seriously would have won. Now I'm really paying attention to what you say about the podcasts.
Can I download this somewhere?

Just heard one Pete Moore on WBEZ giving a birthday shout out with his wife Jen to someone named Aggie. Was that you too?

Your talents are wasted on public radio; you should be writing a comedy send-up of the medium! But your affection for the subject you mock is evident. Nice work.

Hey, this is Simon Cowles and you are MAGNIFICENT!!!
Nothing more to say, GREAT, FANTASTIC, CREATIVE, FUNNY, WONDER-FILLED, YOU'RE IN!!
Unfortunately, I'm not an NPR judge!
Good luck

Don't now what the show is about, but that's irrelevant for this round.

Here's mine, which is a show, but just a wild idea so I can play host.

I know I'm technically competing against you, but I really did give you five stars because I thought your piece was very creative and very funny. There is definitely a void for you to fill in public radio.

It's interesting because I heard your piece on NPR when one of the judges was playing snippets of pieces he liked, and yours was obviously one of them. I'm glad I finally found yours. You already appear to have a following, so you definitely must be doing something right. Anyway, best of luck to you, although you probably won't need it.

Let me know what you think of mine whenever you get the chance. Here's a link:

You're the reason I'm going to lose this thing.

My original concept was a comedic jab at NPR; but then I heard this on Weekend America, and I knew it couldn't be topped. So, it sent me in the complete opposite direction...into pretense and self-seriousness--EVERYTHING I WANTED TO MOCK!

There's cute and there's too cute.

Is THAT a pre-rec?
Where did all you funny folks come from? I am still laughing - hard. You are one funny, funny guy.
I am going to remember your name because I'm sure I'll be hearing you again someday.
Excellent work.

This was one of the first clips I heard and I didn't comment or mark it in anyway. I've since spent days trying to find it again, just so I can relisten.

Not much to say but well done.

Inventive, entertaining (genuinely fits its class..). Would love to see what you could do with longer format.

I like this attempt a lot! It shows your sense of humor with a big ol' spotlight!
I agree with some of the other comments that doing a parody of public radio styles is gutsy! 5 Stars for guts!
Good luck to you! Try mine!

That was really great - but I'm sorry, you will be disqualified for admitting to your jazz apathy. That's too bad. This really had me laughing.

Brave to parody public radio in the Public Radio Talent Quest. Really enjoyed this, which makes me a little peeved since I'm in your freakin' category. D'oh!

Great work, and good luck!

Funny and creative, great job. Way to send NPR to NPR. This is an audience that definitely gets the joke.

I enjoyed the editing on this piece, particularly how you were able to make one voice sound so distorted in such a great way. Also the sense of humor.

Good Luck!
