I was on-air in commercial radio for 4 years in St. Louis, MO. I got out of it when our station got bought and the staff got canned. I finished college, moved to Chicago and now I'm ready to go back to the field I love.

My list of Things To Do In Radio is quite incomplete. On the list (after hosting my own talk show): I'd like to work for the FCC. Have they ever had a commissioner who actually worked in radio? I'd like to see those FCC people recover smoothly from equipment failure that results in dead air. Bet they couldn't do it...

OH! And, I want to get *just* famous enough to be a regular panelist on "Wait Wait...Don't Tell Me!" Do they let Blackfolks on the panel? I know we aren't the target demo...

What's your secret talent?

I can turn interviews into conversations without it coming off as insincere or contrived.

And, I do a mean Sandra Clark impersonation (Jackée Harry's character from 227).

What song is stuck in your head right now, you know, a music wedgie?

Also known as an earworm? ;) "Valleri" by The Monkees

What sound is most characteristic of where you live?

The sound of the CTA rumbling along the el tracks, a block away.

What's your favorite sound memory?

There is a weird bird noise that I only hear at sunset during the summer. It's comforting, because I heard the same sound growing up in suburban St. Louis, MO.
